About Brew 96

Brew 96 was founded in Cardiff, South Wales, with a mission to showcase the very best of the UK’s coffee scene. We work with independent roasters across the country to deliver freshly roasted coffee straight to your door.

My coffee journey started about a year and a half ago, when my wife gifted me a small De'Longhi espresso machine. What began as a simple effort to brew a better cup at home quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. I became hooked on learning the intricacies of grinding coffee, pulling the perfect espresso shot, and, of course, dealing with the endless frustration (and satisfaction) of practicing latte art. Like anyone starting something new, I made many mistakes, but every small win kept me motivated to dive deeper.

As I explored more, I discovered something even more exciting: a vibrant community of independent coffee roasters across the UK. Each roaster had their own unique story, approach, and passion for coffee. Some were tiny startups, others had grown into larger operations, but all shared a dedication to their craft that I found inspiring.

That discovery led me to create Brew 96.

Brew 96 is all about bringing these independent UK roasters together in one place — making it easier for coffee lovers, whether beginners or experienced brewers, to find and enjoy great coffee. It's about celebrating the people behind the beans, supporting small businesses, and making specialty coffee more accessible to everyone.
